I'm a geographer who sees the world through a spatial lens because everything happens somewhere, and that "where" matters more than most people realize.
My work spans the full spectrum of geographic applications: from medical geography projects with leading hospitals to conservation science initiatives that protect critical ecosystems. I've collaborated with federal agencies, research institutions, and organizations of all sizes, always approaching challenges from a fundamentally geographic perspective.
Lately, I've been captivated by the intersection of emerging technologies and spatial storytelling. UAVs are revolutionizing how we capture near real-time spatial data, while advances in geovisualization AI and web-based mapping are transforming how we communicate complex geographic insights. There's something powerful about a well-crafted map or spatial analysis that can instantly clarify what pages of text cannot.
Whether I'm analyzing health disparities, mapping ecological vulnerabilities, or building interactive web platforms, I'm driven by a simple belief: geographic tools have the power to tell compelling stories that drive real change.
I'm someone who believes the most impactful geographic work happens when you get out from behind the computer and into the communities you're studying.
Over the past few years, I've specialized in spatial epidemiology with a focus on using geographic tools to understand how disease patterns connect to environmental and social factors. This work has taken me from analyzing health disparities in urban settings to mapping rare diseases in remote locations around the world.
